SInce 1975, there has been a conflict between Morocco and the Sahwari natives over Western Sahara land. Even decades later, Sahwari's are living in a state of turmoil where they suffer from numerous human right abuses and daily oppression.
The Sahrawi people have been recognized as Morocco for many years, they have been waiting for an independence day that likely seems it will never happen due to Morocco’s involvement and also due to the media being in other neighboring countries such as Egypt, Libya, Yemen and Syria.
Under Morrocan rule, the rights of Sahwari's are completely taken away. Sahwari's are forced to live in oppressed society where even their right of expression is taken away. In addition, Sahwari's are punished severely for speaking out and trying to take back their rights as citizens.
